Recovering from the Canyon

Whew, I am completely exhausted, a little sunburned and covered with about a gazillion mosquito bites, but I had an awesome time this past weekend with our Portraits in the Canyon sessions. They were a major success! Palo Duro Canyon is a photographer's dream- there are a million little secluded areas that make you feel like you're in a forest or a meadow - or on Mars depending on the area.
Since this weekend was such a success, I'm planning on offering another Portraits in the Canyon weekend sometime next month. Stay tuned for dates! I'll be posting some of our session images in the next few days, but until then, here are a few images from the couple that inspired this weekend. Rhonda and Sean are getting married in December. They are such a great couple - I can't wait until the big day. They recently moved here from Oklahoma City, so if you see them around, give them a big Welcome!

Put on your hiking boots! Portraits in the Canyon Oct 18th & 19th

It's time for Portriats in the Canyon. I had an amazing engagement session at Palo Duro Canyon this past weekend and it inspired me to have a Portraits in the Canyon Weekend. We have a limited number of sessions on Saturday October 18th and Sunday, October 19th for you and your loved ones to go bike riding, rock climbing, or just enjoy the awesome scenery and have those moments captured. Jenny and Mark

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Ranch House Weddings in Canyon. I jumped at the chance because that's where I was married almost 7 years ago. It turned out to be a beautiful summer day and Jenny and Mark were so much fun to work with! They have such a great group of friends and family - a real pleasure to photograph.

Tessa

I had the pleasure of photographing the Beautiful Tessa this last weekend. Not only is she gorgeous, she is a smarty pants too! She's graduating super early from Amarillo High in December and she just turned 17!!! Congratulations Tessa and best of luck with becoming a nurse!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad

My Mom and Dad, Judy and Terry Hopkins are celebrating their 40th anniversary on September 20th, so for fun I took them, My sister Dara, her twin daughters, Madisen and Macayla, and my sweet little Miss Z to WTAMU's campus for a portrait session. I can't wait until I'm married that long!

I got my corny love of Neil Diamond from my parents, so this is a tribute to them :) Happy Anniversary!

Autumn & Lily

Here are some more sweet Heart Gallery Babies - this is Autumn and Lily. They are sisters, Autumn is 3 and Lily just turned 2. They were very excited about their hair dillies (that's what I call them) and they loved playing on the playground. Lily is just getting to the age where she doesn't like her big sissy bossing her around, so it was a challenge getting them close to eachother. I tried getting Lily to hug her sister - no way!!!

These lovely little girls are up for adoption - so if you know of someone who is wanting a baby, adoption is a great way to go.
